About us

Goti Terrecotte boasts over fifty years of experience, born from the strong passion for ceramics of its owner, Giancarlo.
Mr. Giancarlo began his career as an apprentice ceramic decorator. Later, after marrying Mrs. Fiorella Goti, he opened a small artisanal workshop in Sesto Fiorentino.

The expansion was rapid, and within a few years, in 1973, they managed to grow and opened their company in Calenzano, just a few kilometers from Florence, in Tuscany. The knowledge acquired over the years allowed Giancarlo to experiment with new materials and production techniques:

  • The processing of artistic mold ceramics, which replaces the traditional slip casting technique.
  • The use of clay from the Impruneta quarries for the production of frost-resistant pots. The unique family-passed clay recipe is mixed and kneaded with water to create professional ovens or outdoor food ovens made of certified, high-resistance refractory terracotta, fired at 1040°.

The well-equipped workshop allows for the handcrafted and customized creation of jars, roof tiles, statues, planters, vases, basins, chimneys, custom bricks, bas-reliefs, and various types of ornaments.

The production department dedicated to wood-fired ovens has allowed Goti Terrecotte to gain international recognition as a reference point in the market for refractory terracotta wood-fired ovens designed for professional, domestic, and garden use.

Today, this tradition and experience have been passed down and further enriched by their daughter Sara, the Designer and Creative Director of the Goti group.
